Air Evac Handling

The Embark function, used primarily on the MC, handles both ground and air evacuations.  The default is ‘Ground’.  This is the radio button that is selected when you enter the Embark function.  When the Operator taps on the ‘Air Evac’ radio button, the ‘New Bus’ button changes to the ‘New Aircraft’ button.  A new Aircraft can then be added to the System, including its tail number and optionally an associated mission number.  Evacuees are scanned into the manifest list the same way, with one exception; the Operator will be prompted to select the name of the origination and destination medical facility.  The names are presented in dropdown lists on a screen that is displayed automatically after each wristband’s bar code is scanned.  The ‘New Facility’ button is used when the name of the origination or destination medical facility is not already in the dropdown list.
