Database Replication

REMS running on computers in the field utilize the combination of an onboard SQL Server Compact Edition database and Merge Replication to provide a robust, fault-tolerant solution.  Merge Replication automates the synchronization of data between computers in the field and a central SQL Server database.

Supported Networks

Data can be synchronized between the mobile computer and the central database any time a network connection becomes available.  REMS supported networks include the wireless Internet (GPRS), broadband satellite, WiFi, Bluetooth or ActiveSync.
